David Black is a DC native who was incarcerated for 26 years for a crime he did not commit. He was wrongfully convicted due to misconduct by MPD and the DC government. MPD officers beat a key witness in the trial and threatened his family in order to coerce him into falsely testifying against Black. David was recently released from federal prison under the Second Chance Act, but still is struggling navigating life post-release as someone with a felony conviction and all of the challenges that come along with that, like not being able to vote and being barred from job opportunities.

Even after serving so many years despite his innocence, David’s name still hasn’t been cleared. He deserves real justice. Exoneration now! Justice for David!
